Holly Day's needlepoint is a rendering of one of Leonardo de Vinci's sketches. It depicts the down-facing head and shoulders of a man in da Vinci's life-like style. In the embroidery, the figure appears against a background of of small, asymmetrical blocks of bright color. The figure is stitched in colors that contrast with the background block, giving the sketch a dynamic feel.
